• Becarefulnottotrapfinger(s)betweentheappliance
andbatterycartridgewhenloadingbatterycartridgeas
wellasbetweentheapplianceandthebatterycover
whenclosingthebatterycover.
Toinstallthebatterycartridge,releasethecoverlock,and
openthebatterycover.(Fig. 1)

Insertthebatterycartridge.Alignthetongueonthebattery
cartridge with the groove in the housing and slip it into
place.Insertitallthewayuntilitlocksinplacewithalittle
click.Ifyoucanseetheredindicatorontheupperside
ofthebutton,itisnotlockedcompletely.Thenclosethe
batterycover.
Toremovethebatterycartridge,slideitfromthetoolwhile
sliding the button on the front of the cartridge. (Fig. 2)

CAUTION:
• Alwaysinstallthebatterycartridgefullyinplace.Ifnot,it
mayaccidentallyfalloutoftheappliance,causinginjury
toyouorsomeonearoundyou.
• Donotinstallthebatterycartridgeforcibly.Ifthecartridge
doesnotslideineasily,itisnotbeinginsertedcorrectly.

for few seconds.

• Depending on the conditions of use and the ambient
temperature,theindicationmaydifferslightlyfromthe
actualcapacity.
• Thefirst(farleft)indicatorlampwillbrinkwhenthe
batteryprotectionsystemworks.
Use of non-genuine Makita batteries, or batteries that have
beenaltered,willvoidtheMakitawarrantyfortheMakita
appliance and charger.
