5.5. Restoring this product's settings to their factory-set
defaults
This explains how to restore this product's settings to their factory-set defaults.
Using the "cold start" command to restore the factory settings

Caution
When restoring the factory settings, note the following points.
• All communication is halted immediately after execution.
• The IP address of this product will be initialized to the factory default setting
(192.168.100.240).
• You cannot restore the current contents of the settings after you have
restored them to their factory defaults. If necessary, use external memory to
save the settings before you proceed with initialization. For details on how to
export settings to external memory, refer to the "Technical data for Yamaha
network devices," available on the Yamaha website.
5.5.1. Using the "cold start" command to restore the factory settings
You can return the product to its factory settings from the command line via the CONSOLE port,
Telnet or an SSH client.

• Communications will be halted when logging in via Telnet or an SSH client.
