Auxiliary Output Installation
Installation Procedure
Form 44-45-33-52A
Follow the steps listed in Table 1 to add the 4-20mA Auxiliary Output
printed circuit board. The procedure assumes that the chart door is open,
the chart plate is swung out, and the power is removed.

Install the new card guides supplied with the kit into proper location
on the motherboard located in the left hand side of the case.
(See Figure 1 for Auxiliary Output card location)
CAUTION
rocking will destroy its latch.
Slide the new Auxiliary Output board into the card guides and press in

firmly to seat the connector onto the motherboard.
Connect the 2-wire violet colored connector lead from the transformer

on the motherboard to the Auxiliary Output board at J4. (See Figure 1
for location)
If required, redress the leads from the Motherboard with the tie wraps
provided in the kit.

Locate connector J2 near the bottom of the Auxiliary Output printed
circuit board (See Figure 1 for location).

Run the output wires through the desired knockout.
Strip 1/4-inch maximum of insulation from the end of each wire.

Loosen the screws in terminals on the plug connector supplied in the
kit and position the plug as you would to plug it into J2 on the
Auxiliary Output board.
Observing the polarity, insert the wires into the appropriate screw

clamps as shown in Figure 1. Tighten the screws to secure the wires.

Install the wired plug into J2
Configure the recorder for Auxiliary Output. Refer to Tables 2 and 3.

Make sure that the Auxiliary Output is calibrated.
