7. Lower Reading Guide

1) Clean the out side including the glass
surface to prevent dust from entering the
reading unit.
2) While removing 9 pairs of the fitting parts
1 in order from the end side, remove the
reading unit 2 .

Note: If the reading guide is reused, be
careful not to damage the hooks when
unhooking the fitting parts. The CIS unit
is removed when the reading guide is
removed.
Notes on assembling
Clean any dust in the reading unit. If there
is dirty including fingerprint, clean them
with a clean dry cloth.
Push all the fitting parts in until they fit
completely. Makes sure there is no gap or
space. Install the CIS unit so that it
matches the direction of the reading cover.
If it is installed incorrectly, the fitting parts
lift.
After the assembling is complete, clean
the front surface of the reading glass.

Since it takes time to replace the lower
reading unit, only the method of replacing
the CIS unit is shown here. However,
when replacing it, prepare for the upper or
lower reading unit and use only the CIS
unit. The upper and lower CIS units are the
same.
1) Remove the control PCB.

2) Remove the FPC
unit, unhook 9 pairs of fitting parts
order, and remove the CIS unit
Note: If the reading cover is reused, be

unhooking the fitting parts.
