Notes:
• Match the Workgroup name of this product and the Windows Domain Controller's domain Name if you would like to
specify the Windows Domain Controller as an External Authentication S Server.
• A Workgroup Name can be up to 15 alpha numerical character-length (or 7 two-byte characters). Hyphens,
underscores, and periods may be used.
• Don't use a number or symbol as the first letter of a workgroup name.

Click [Network] - [ Workgroup/Domain] - [Modif y Settings] in the Web
Admin.
1 Double click [Workgroup].
Notes: Even if you will use this unit in a domain environment, select
[Workgroups].
2 Select [Delegate Authority to External SMB Server].
1 Click [Automatic User Registration]. Check [Enable Authentication Shared
Folder]. If using Windows Domain Controller, check [Use Windows
Domain Controller as Authentication Server].
2 Enter [Authentication Server Name or IP Address].
Note: If you will be connecting using AFP and FTP, entering an IP address
for the authentication server is recommended.
3 Enter an Authentication Share Folder Name.
4 If you want to allow access by local users in addition to externally
authenticated use, select [Allow].
5 Click [Save].
