The
stripe
adjusting plate

connected
with
the
stitch
cam,
and the
stitch cam
guide
plate is
connected
with the right
and
left
stitch
caDI$.
I.
Loosen the stripe adjusting plate
clamp
screw.
Use
slide calipers to
adjust the
stripe adjusting
plate so that the length (at a and a') of
the right
and
left
parts of the
stitch
cam
will
become
even. Then
tighten
the stripe adjusting plate clamp screw.
Note: The length difference
at
the
stitch cam (bet"'"n
a
and
a')
should not
exceed
0.35
mm.
Hint: When
the
stitch
dial
is
set
at
5,
the length
at the stitch
cam:
32.5
mm.

After the
adjustment,
be awe
to
check it
by
knitting plain stitch
using a medium
yam
and with
the
stitch dial set
at
s.

Clamp

after adjusting the distance between guide
cam A
and the
carriage rear
leg
to 56.Smrn.

guide cam
A Is
not
more
than
S6.Srnm apart from the
rear
leg,
the gap between guide cams A and B will be too
narrow for
the
knitting
needle.
Note
2:
If the distance between guide cam A and the rear leg
far
exceeds
S6.Smm,
the yam guide
might
darnaae
the
latch.
