5.2 Parts Replacement Method
5.2.2 Replacement of Seals for Selector Valve (option)
NOTE: Be sure to halt the solvent delivery of the pump
connected to the instrument prior to seal replacement.
Take the following procedure for seal replacement.
(1) Items to prepare
• 890-4175 seal for 3-column selector valve
• 890-4295 seal for 6-way 2-position valve
(2) Remove five stator retaining screws (three stator retaining
screws on the 6-way 2-position valve) with the hexagon
wrench attached to the valve seals, and then detach the
stator and the stator seal.
(3) Remove four stator ring retaining screws with the hexagon
wrench attached to the valve seals, and then pull out the
stator ring and the rotor seal.
(4) Replace the stator and rotor seals with new ones, attach
the seals in the order opposite to removal, and fasten the
stator ring retaining screws. Then attach the stator seal
and stator and fasten the stator retaining screws.
The screws should be tightened a little at a time in a criss-
cross manner.
(5) After seal replacement, check that there is no liquid
leakage.
