Connect 24 V DC power supply

The power supply of the Central Interface Module (CIM) is via an external 24 V DC supply.
Use a power supply unit which conforms to IEC 60536, protection class III (PELV). Power
supply units from the SITOP product line are suitable, for example.
The CIM can supply up to 24 POMs and 6 fan modules through the HCS system interface.
Layout of the 24 V DC power supply
You can determine the layout of the 24 V DC power supply using the following calculation
formula:
Minimum power rating = 3 W +
(Number of POM4220 Lowend, POM4220 Midrange phase angle control,
POM4220 Flexible • 1 W) +
(Number of POM4220 Highend • 1.5 W) +
(Number of fan modules • 10 W) +
(Number of I/O modules • 1 W)
Example:
Supply of an HCS4200 comprising a rack, CIM PROFINET, 12 connected POMs and
3 fan modules.
The minimum power rating in accordance with the formula above is 45 W, i.e. the
power pack must be able to supply current of at least 1875 mA.
Note
The active power input of all the connected components must not exceed 100 W in total.
