8.1 Integrating the HCS4200 components into the PROFINET

Procedure with SIMATIC S7
If the hardware catalog of your configuration software does not feature the HCS4200 yet, it
can be integrated by installing an HSP. An HSP is available for the TIA Portal and can be
downloaded from the Siemens
Service&Support area (http://www.siemens.com/automation/service&support).
Procedure with non-Siemens controllers
For PROFINET configuration you will need the language-specific GSDML file. The GSDML
file must be installed in the configuration software.
The GSDML file "GSDML-V2.34-Siemens-002A-HCS4200-
from the Siemens Service&Support area
(http://www.siemens.com/automation/service&support).
If a non-Siemens PROFINET controller is used, install the GSDML file as described in the
manufacturer's instructions.
