Configuring Network Settings
Note: The internal network range is defined both by the NetDefend fire
IP address and by the subnet mask.
For example, if the NetDefend firewall's internal IP address is 192.168.100.7, and
you set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0, the network's IP address range will be
192.168.100.1 – 192.168.100.254.
The default internal network range is 192.168.10.*.
5. Click Apply.
A warning message appears.
6. Click OK.
• The NetDefend firewall's internal IP address and/or the
range are changed.
• A success message appears.
Do one of the following:

• If your computer is configured to obtain its IP
(using DHCP), and th

Your computer obtains an IP address in the new range.
• Ot
herwise, manually reconfigure your computer to use the new
address range using the TCP/IP settings. For information
TCP/IP, see TCP/IP Settings on page 24, on page 20.
