When using DIGITAL OUT
(OPTICAL)

When connecting to an amplifier or D/A
converter with OPTICAL IN, connect the
OPTICAL IN and the DIGITAL OUT
(OPTICAL) on the player with the POC-15
Audio Fiber Optical Cable (not supplied).
See the figures on the left.
Take off the cap and plug in the
connector firmly.
Notes on DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL)
¢ When using the DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL), the
Level File function does not work.
¢ Noise may occur when playing non-music
discs.
Note on CONTROL S (IN)
The CONTROL S$ connections are the Sony's
exclusive control system. With the CONTROL S
connection, you can control one unit through
another one. Connect the CONTROL S$ (IN) on
this player to the CONTROL $ (OUT) on another
Sony CD player, receiver or amplifier, with a
CONTROL § cable (not supplied).
Note on the SIRCS IN jack
To control the player from a position where you
cannot point the remote sensor to the front panel
directly, connect the RME-20 Extension Remote
Sensor (not supplied) to the SIRCS jack and set
its sensor part to where you can point.
COMMAND MODE selector
By using the COMMAND MODE selector,
you can remotely control more than one
Sony CD player.
a) To control the CDP-CX100
independently from another Sony CD
player, set the COMMAND MODE
selector on the CDP-CX100 to CD 2 or 3
and synchronize the CD 1-2-3 selector
on the remote commander RM-DX100.
b) To control two or three CDP-CX100s
independently, set the COMMAND
MODE selector on each CDP-CX100 to
a different position from each other and
switch the CD 1-2-3 selector on the
remote commander RM-DX100 to CD 1,
2or3.
c) When using the remote commancer RM-
P332 (CDP-CX100S only) Set the
COMMAND MODE selector to CD 1.
