Restore Secondary Database from USB Flash Drive
This procedure describes how to use CLI commands in a L100 CLI window to restore the secondary database
through the USB flash drive in a new or used L100 Blade. The procedure applies to the Main L100 Blade only. The
tributary blades do not have database and are provisioned through the Main L100 Blade.
Note: The user must be logged on as fujitsu or have Level-4 or Level-5 privileges assigned to perform this
procedure.
Step 1
Is a faulty blade being replaced?
If YES:
Continue with next step.
If NO:
Proceed to
Step
5.
Step 2
Power down the faulty L100 Blade.
Step 3
Remove the USB flash drive with the secondary database from the faulty L100 Blade.
Step 4
Uninstall the faulty L100 Blade from the rack. Refer to
Step 5
Install the replacement L100 Blade, but do not power it up. Refer to
Note: To restore the secondary database on USB flash drive to the replacement blade, the replacement blade
must be in shelf provisioning mode. If replacing a faulty blade with a previously used L100 Blade, place the blade
into shelf provisioning mode before inserting the USB flash drive.
Step 6
Is the replacement blade a new L100 Blade from the factory that is already in shelf provisioning mode?
If YES:
Proceed to
Step
12.
If NO:
Continue with next step.
Step 7
Power up the replacement L100 Blade.
