Acquiring Log Data

This procedure allows you to write logs for the CPU of the unit and logs for the AXS-A memory card to a USB memory.

The logs are stored in encrypted forms.

Equipment required

• USB memory (4 GB to 32 GB)

Note

Format the USB memory in advance with the following settings.

- File system: FAT32

- Allocation unit size: 32 KB

Procedure

Note

Acquire log data with the unit installed to the PMW-F5/F55 while the unit and PMW-F5/F55 are turned on.

Remove the bottom plate on the bottom of the unit.

Connect an AC adapter to the unit.

Connect the USB memory to the USB connector.

Press the version update button for at least one second.

The PLAYBACK SELECT indicator starts blinking at intervals of 4 Hz (4 times/second). Three seconds later, the

indicator stays lit and acquisition of log data starts.

On completion of the acquisition, the PLAYBACK SELECT indicator starts blinking with 1 Hz.

Tip

If log acquisition failes, the PLAYBACK SELECT indicator blinks with 4 Hz. Then, remove the USB memory

and then retry operations from step 3.

Remove the USB memory.
