Wireless Siren
Add an extra dimension of security to your Motorola homesight Software system. When your system is armed, the Wireless Siren provides a piercing audible
alarm in response to an event detected by other sensors in your system (for example, if the back door is opened in the middle of the night). It will even provide
audible feedback (a chirp) when a sensor is triggered while your system is unarmed.
Discovery
To use the siren with the system, it must first be discovered. After starting discovery mode from the Device Discovery page, press the discover button labeled on
the right side of the siren. A pointed discovery tool has been included for your convenience. The discovery page will indicate that the device was detected and
added to the system. You are now ready to use the power controller.
Using the Siren in Macros
The siren can be used in conjunction with other devices' events to provide alerting of certain activity. The siren can be set to sound a piercing alarm when motion
is detected in the middle of the night, or it can be set to sound a simple chirp when the back door is opened during the day. Consult the Macros section of the help
guide for more information.
Siren Indication
When the siren is turned on, the mute button is illuminated and the siren will remain on for 1 minute. After this period, the siren will automatically turn off, but the
mute button will blink to indicate that the alarm sounded.
