Chapter 6 Talker and Listener Areas
(b) I/O statuses
These items indicate I/O module information on an I/O slot basis.
The following bits indicate the status of the I/O module of [unit number] - [slot number]. [0:
I/O module abnormal, 1: I/O module normal]
bit
Status 1 1-8
Status 2 3-8
(5) Correspondence between the I/O modules and common memory
The FL654A allocates the installed I/O modules to the common memory talker and listener
6
areas in the order of the I/O modules.
Allocation is made in the ascending order of unit numbers and, in the same unit, it is made in
the ascending order of slot numbers. Note that the basic unit is a smallest unit.
For example, if both the talker and listener areas use Area 2 of the common memory (both
DIP-SW5 and -SW6 are OFF) and the talker block head is set to 04h (TBH = 0, TBL = 4) and
the listener block head is set to 10 h (LBH = 1, LBL = 0) in the configuration in Figure 6-3, the
allocation of the I/O module to the common memory is as shown in Figure 6-4.
