Risk of injury when hot surfaces on the cabinet anti-condensation heating are touched
During operation, the cabinet anti-condensation heating can reach high temperatures and
cause burns if touched.
• Allow the cabinet anti-condensation heating to cool down before starting any work.
• Use the appropriate personnel protection equipment, e.g., gloves.
Note
Providing supply voltage with temperature control
The supply voltage can be provided by means of a temperature control, to avoid
unnecessary operation of the anti-condensation heating at higher ambient temperatures.

8.34.1

General information

Availability of option
This option is available for the following S120 Cabinet Modules:
● Basic Line Modules
● Smart Line Modules
● Active Line Modules
● Motor Modules in chassis format
Description
Braking units may be required for drives that support regenerative operating conditions but
have no other facility for feeding energy back into the supply system.
The braking unit comprises two components:
● A Braking Module that is installed in the Power Module
● A braking resistor to be mounted externally ( degree of protection IP20).
The braking unit functions as an autonomous unit, and does not require an external power
supply.
