Cabinet Bracing Considerations

68P80801E30-A 5/1/2002
This section provides installation instructions for cabinets already
containing site controllers and provides procedures for permanently
mounting the equipment cabinets within a site. This section contains the
following sections.
Section
Cabinet Bracing Considerations
Cabling Considerations
Access Considerations
Cabinet Position Considerations
This section does not refer to the Power Supply Rack or battery rack.
Note:
Refer to the manufacturer's installation manual for information
relating to these cabinets.
Installation for each type of cabinet is slightly different. The cabinets are
self-supporting structures. The cabinets require additional bracing during
shipment of prefabricated sites.
In seismically active areas, additional bracing of the cabinet may be required
to prevent it from tipping. However, the bracing hardware must be locally
procured. There are no specific procedures within this manual for bracing
cabinets in active seismic areas.
