2 Select the blue thermal film for which you wish
to perform calibration by pressing the G or g
button.
Display the blue thermal film for which you
wish to perform calibration.
3 Press the EXEC button.
The remaining amount of each type of film is
displayed on the LCD.
The unit starts printing, and during printing, the
density is calibrated automatically.
The calibration performed at this printing
becomes effective for the next printing.
To perform calibration of another blue
thermal film
Repeat step 1 to 4.
When the message CALIBRATION INVALID
appears
The unit tried to perform calibration, but it failed.
The proper calibration result cannot be obtained
because obstacles such as dust are stuck on the film.
Calibration is not updated and the printer makes
printouts with the original calibration.
For details, see "Error Messages" on page 40.
To make an automatic calibration
The unit can perform a calibration for the first film
each time you load new film sheets into the film
tray 1 or film tray 2.
1 Display AUTO CALIBRATION, by pressing
the F or f button.
2 Select ON by pressing the G button to display
the desired item in capital letters.

The item displayed in capital letters becomes
effective.
Display ON in capital letters by pressing the G
button.

The printer performs the calibration
automatically using the first film
sheet each time you load new film
sheets into film tray 1 or film tray 2.
off (OFF)
The printer does not perform the
automatic calibration (retains the
factory setting).
3 Press the MENU button.
The unit returns to standby status and the size
and remaining amounts of each film type are
displayed on the LCD.
To reset to the default status
If you reset the density to the default status, the
calibration is not performed by selecting FULL
RANGE CAL.
1 Display CAL RESET by pressing the F or f
button.
2 Select the blue thermal film which you wish to
reset to the default status by pressing the G or g
button.
Display the thermal film which you wish to
reset to the default status.
3 Press the EXEC button.
The density for the blue thermal film selected in
step 2 is reset to the default status.
The size and remaining amount of film sheets
are displayed on the LCD.
