11. Faults

If the error message persists, contact customer service.

Other possible malfunctions are primarily of a technical nature and are to be checked and if necessary recti-
fied by a qualified engineer. Please always contact the Customer Service of the dealer authorized to trade in
Bosch-workshop equipment.

For rapid assistance it is important to quote the details on the rating plate (label on WBE 260) and the nature
of the problem when calling.
Fault
No display when powering up
"Err1" appears on screen display
"Err2" appears on screen display
"Err3" appears on screen display
"Err4" appears on screen display
"Err5" appears on screen display
"Err7" appears on screen display
Only 00-00 is displayed. No other
value.
Every rotational value range has
been exceeded
Powers down within 10 seconds.
The imbalance value is not correct.
Faults on left and right and very dif-
ficult to achieve imbalance of 00.
Does not brake as soon as value is
displayed
Second imbalance value exceeds 10 g. R Inside of rim hole not regular.
Self-calibration shows "Err8"
100 g is displayed as an error value

Cause
R Fuse defective
R Switch defective
Press START key and keep it held down
R No wheel installed in machine
R Mount flange and check lead screw for back-
lash.
R Wheel incorrectly installed and not secured.
R Motor belt too loose or too tight
Imbalance value of tire is too high
Position sensor error
Wheel-guard hood not closed
Stored data missing
R Sensor head wire is broken or has a loose
contact
R Stored data missing
R The tire is dirty or the center contact surface
on the rim is distorted
R The sensor head has become damp
R The quick locking nut is not securely mount-
ed
R Power supply is too weak
R Tire pressure is too low
R Machine not fixed
R Power supply connection is loose
R Fault
R Sensor head defective
R Program error
R Brake system defective
R External fault
R Lead screw incorrectly installed.
R No 100 g self-calibration weight
R Power wire on pressure sensor is broken
R Computer PCB is defective
R Power supply PCB is defective
R Stored parameter is impaired.
R Tire error value is too high
Remedy
R Changing the fuse
R Replace switch
Contact customer service
R Clamp tire and try once again
R Reinstall flange
R Reinstall the wheel according to 6.1
To check, replace wheel and, if necessary,
perform a self check.

Close wheel-guard hood
Enter memory values and repeat self-calibra-
tion
Contact customer service
R Replace wheel
R Reset sensor head
R Use stable power supply
R Inflate tire to correct pressure.
R Secure machine to a flat concrete floor
with an expansion bolt.
R Check power connector
R Restart after powering down
R Repeat self-calibration
R Restart the machine
R To check, replace wheel
R Reinstall flange (see Chapter 5.1)
R Add 100 g weights
R Check cable and connect it securely
R Key in data again from label inside ma-
chine.
R To check, replace wheel
