Operating a Client Remotely
(Jnce you've created a tv1usicC,l\ST netv'Jork; eacrl
tvlusicCAST client becornes able to access tile MCX-2000
and srlare (nost audio
sourc(~s
on the server! includinq the
nlusic archive, FM radio stations and audio signals frorn
ext(~rnal
inputs. In fact, each client autornatical!y retrieves the
iatE~st
catalorJ of songs. artists, alburns, Denres and radio
stations, ancj lets you initiate audio strearning by selecting an
audio source on the client side (client
rEH~uest).
You can also initiate auciio strearning to eacri client frorn the
S8r'v'er side. Besides the Broadcast feature that strearns a
,sinqle audio source seiected on the tVlCX·-2000 to one or
rnore ciients at the sarne tirlle (page 89), you can even issue
a client request on H'le server side---using one of the CHent
Control functions. Irs another va.lue of the f\t1CX-2000 as the
center controller in your
