Specify the content to be published
The content on the computer must be published by the DiXiM
Media Server so that the MusicCAST MCX-2000 on the home
network can receive and play the content delivered by the server.
The content shown below is specified to be published by default.
"Shared Music" folder
(C:\
Documents and Settings\A1I Users\Documents\My Music)
"Shared Pictures" folder
(C:\Documents and Settings\A1I Users\Documents\My Pictures)
"Shared Videos" folder
(C:\Documents and Settings\A1I Users\Documents\My Videos)
The MusicCAST MCX-2000 can not display or play content other
than music (files with extensions mp3, m3u, wma, and wav).
To publish other folders or to cancel the publication of folders
which have already been published (Cancel the Publication), use
any of the following procedures.
Right-click the folder to be specified and click the [Media Server
Publication] (or [Cancel Media Server Publication]) from the
displayed menu, on the computer where the DiXiM Media Server
has been installed.
The DiXiM Media Server Tool is used to configure the operation
or settings of the DiXiM Medial Server.
The DiXiM Media Server Tool is executed by selecting [Start] - [All
programs] - [DigiOn] - [DiXiM Media Server Tool].
For details about operation, refer to [DiXiM Media Server Help].

Set up the MusicCAST MCX-2000 to access the
DiXiM Media Server
When you try to access the DiXiM Media Server from a Music-
CAST MCX-2000 for the first time, a balloon will appear on the
screen to prompt you to permit or deny the access.

For example, when you try to access a DiXiM Media Server from
an MusicCAST MCX-2000 with IP address 192.168.1.2, this mes-
sage will appear.
If this message appears, use the following procedure to permit (or
deny) access from that client.
If you click the balloon, the [Security] dialog box will appear.
To permit access from this MusicCAST MCX-2000, select the
[Allow connection] radio button and click the [OK] button. Then,
the dialog box for reconfirmation will appear, so click the [Yes]
button.
Now you can access the DiXiM Media Server from this Music-
CAST MCX-2000.
This setting can be changed later using the [Security] tab on the
DiXiM Media Server Tool. / For detailed information, refer to the
DiXiM Media Server Help.
