Setting up the Mail Server, etc.
■ To the Network Administrator
To use the Network Application functions of this machine, you must configure the settings
according to the network environment to which this machine is connected. Before you
start the setup of this machine, ask the network administrator about the required setting
items.
To use the Network Application functions of this machine, the following settings are
required. For information on the settings, refer to the manuals of the mail server, etc.
IP Address of this machine
Mail account (E-mail address) of this machine
POP3 User Name/POP3 Password of this machine
Account SMTP whose sub-domain is this machine (Self-Domain Name)
Mail Setting from Mail Server to this machine (DNS Server Setting)
Besides the information above, you also need the following information for setting the
machine.
Subnet Mask of the network to which this machine is connected
Gateway address of the network to which this machine is connected
SMTP Server IP Address
POP3 Server IP Address
Each address, numerical value, and name of the network settings differs
NOTE
depending on the network environment.
If you enter as in the example, the machine will not operate correctly.

In order to use the Network Fax transmission through a mail server, you need to register
this machine as an E-mail server to the DNS server.
<Example for the Network Fax via Mail Server>
E-mail domain name
IP address of this machine
Self-Domain Name of this machine
DNS server setting for "example.com"
With the above setup, the E-mail with the domain name "vivid.example.com" will be sent
to this machine.
For the Network Fax transmission without going through a mail server, only the
