(1) Connect the scan tool to the data link connector (located at
the right side of the junction block).
(2) With the ignition switch at the "ACC" position, set the scan
tool to the special test setting.
(3) Check whether the buzzer of the scan tool sounds one
time when each of the switches noted below is operated.
Input signals are being input to the electronic control unit if
the buzzer sounds, so the operation of that switch can be
considered satisfactory; if the buzzer does not sound,
check that switch or the wiring for an abnormal condition.
