Systems Indicator Monitor/Hour Meter
Your tractor is equipped with a SystemsIndicator Monitoras
shown in Figure5. The monitor records the accumulated hours
of tractor operation, and displaysthe informationon the LCD hour
meter display (tenths of an hour- right most digit). The monitor
also has four indicatorlights that show the statusof various
functionsof the tractor.

The system indicator monitor featuresare as follows:
LCDHour Meter Display
The hour meter display is activated when the key switch is
turned to either the "NORMALMOWING"or the "REVERSE
CAUTIONMODE"switch positions. Whenthe key switch is
turned to an on position, the battery indicator light briefly
illuminatesand the battery voltage is briefly displayed.The
display then changes to the accumulated hours.
NOTE: A record of the actual hours of operationshould be kept
to assure maintenanceprocedures are completedaccording to
the schedule in this manual.
The IndicatorMonitorwill also remindthe operatorof main-
tenanceintervalsfor changingthe engineoil. The LCD will
alternatelyflash the recordedhours, "CHG"and "OIL"for five
minutes,after every 50 hoursof recordedoperationelapse. The
maintenanceinterval lastsfor two hours (from 50-52,100-102,
150-152,etc.). The LCD will flash as describedfor five minutes
every time the tractor's engine is startedduring this maintenance
interval.Follow the oil changeintervalsprovidedin the engine
manualthis the Maintainingyour Tractorsection of this Manual.
Battery Indicator Light
Illuminateswhenthe ignitionswitchit turnedto an ON positionand
theengine is not started.
Illuminatesto indicatethe batteryvoltagehas droppedbelow 11.5
(+0.5/-1.0)DC volts(the batteryvoltageis alsodisplayedon the
hour meter).If this indicatorand displaycomeon duringoperation,
checkthe batteryandchargingsystemfor possiblecausesand/or
contactyourCub Cadetdealer.
Oil PressureIndicatorLight
This warninglampindicateslow engineoil pressure.If this
indicatorilluminates, s top the tractorimmediately and checkthe
engineoil level.If theoil levelis within the operatingrange,but the
light remainson, contactyourCubCadetdealer.NOTE: Theoil
pressureindicatormay illuminatewhenthekey switchis turnedto
an on position,but shouldturn off whenthe engineis started.
PTOEngagedIndicator Light
This indicatorilluminateswhenthe key switchis turnedto the
"START" positionwhilethe PTOswitchis in the "ENGAGED"
position.Checkthis indicatorif the enginewill notcrank with the
key switchin the "START"position.Movethe PTOswitchto the
"DISENGAGED" p osition.
Brake Engaged Indicator
This indicatorilluminateswhenthe key switchis turnedto the
"START" positionand the brakepedalis notfully depressed.Check
this indicatorif the enginewill notcrank with the key switchin the
"START" position.If necessary,fully depressthe brakepedal._
Throttle
Control Lever
Thethrottlecontrol levercontrolsthe speed
of the engine.Whenset in a givenposition,
the throttlewill maintaina uniformengine
speed.
IMPORTANT:Whenoperatingthe tractor
with thecutting deckengaged,throttle
controllevermustalwaysbe in the FAST
(rabbit)position.

Key Switch Module
The keyswitch moduleis usedto
startand stopthe engine.It is also
usedto activatethe REVERSE
CAUTIONMODE.Insertkey into
the key switchmoduleand turn
clockwiseto the STARTposition.
Releasethe key into the NORMAL
MOWINGpositiononceengine
has started.
Tostop the engine,turn theignitior
key counterclockwise to the STOP
position.

ARNING:Neverleave a runningmachine
lunattended. AlwaysdisengagePTO,moveshift
Ileverintoneutralposition,set parkingbrake,stop
lengineand removekey to preventunintended
_starting.

InterlockSystem"on page 12and "StartingThe Engine"on page
13 of this manualfor detailedinstructionsregardingthe Ignition
