How to Receive a
Call
This section describes various ways to receive a call.
There are four ways to receive a call.
Receiving a Call
Addressed to You
(Prime Line)
You can tell whether the call you are receiving is an
extension or an outside line by the call sound.
• When receiving a call from an extension: 'ring, ring'
• When receiving a call from an outside: 'rrring, rrring'
You want to change the call
sound:
You can change the call sound from an
extension and an outside as you like.
For details, refer to "Changing Call Sound
and Hold Sound".

ommended):
When lifting the handset from the
pedestal, you can answer the call.

Answering a Call
Instead of Other Person
(Sub Line)
You can answer a call received within your group
instead of other person.
There are three ways to answer a call instead of other
person.
Using Line Key Display

A call addressed to other person is
being received.
The button of the extension number blinks in red
in line key display.

Click blinking in red
(Line Button).
The color of the clicked button changes to blue.

Speak with him or her.
