DESCRIPTION
OF NEW MECHANISMS
lowered.
This motion takes approx. 0.5 sec.
(3) Clamping
@ Loading and Disc Setting
1. General
The operation of this mechamism
is divided rought-
ly into the three motions given below.
The
rotation
of the
motor,
a driving
source,
is
reduced
by a belt and gear, and converted
into
a horizontal
motion
of the tray rack to perform
disc loading operation by the lever and link, etc..
The operation of the tray rack is divided into tray
loading motion
and disc vertical motion/clamping
motion ; in the former, the tray rack moves together
with the tray, and in the latter, only the tray rack
moves.
(1) Tray loading operation
To load the tray to the player main unit, it travels
by approx.
132 mm.
This travel takes approx.
2 sec.
(At this time, the tray rack is fixed to the
tray by the latch.)
(2) Disc vertical motion
When
the tray has moved
fully into the player
main unit, the tray rack is unlatched
and slides.
The
lifter cam
is turned
and the disc holder is
The clamper is lowered at the same time as the
vertical motion of the disc to clamp it.
A series
of motions
from
unclamping
(the disc
is lifted up) to travel of the tray take approx.
2.5
sec.
Note
:
\f the tray is locked
during
closing (for example.
your finger is caught), it is opened in approx. 5 sec.
2. Loading motion of tray
The tray is mounted
on the loading plate via two
rails.
For loading of the tray, power is transmitted from
the motor via the motor
pulley to the gear 2 (C)
to be engaged
with the tray rack, thereby open-
ing and closing the tray in the horizontal direction.
At this time, the tray rack slides by approx. 30 mm
