Detailed Operating Procedures
For details on the various viewfinder displays, please refer to pp. 24, 25.
Adjust the electronic viewfinder for comfortable
viewing.
Remove the camera's lens cap. Set the camera's
stand by/operate switch to NORM. Three indicators
will appear in the viewfinder as shown. (If the in¬
dicators do not appear, press the mode select
button until they do.)
• Set the camera's standby/operate switch to
STD-BY during pauses in recording to conserve
power (see p. 21). The picture will not be dis¬
played while in the standpy mode.
To ensure proper focus, you can adjust the eye¬
piece to your own eyesight with the dioptric adjust¬
ment ring. To adjust, turn the dioptric adjustment
ring while looking in the viewfinder until the char-
acfers in the display are sharp.
• Eyeglass wearers should remove their glasses
before adjusting the eyepiece.
If the word "BATTERY" blinks in the viewfinder, the
battery charge is nearly exhausted. Check the
recorder's battery level indicator, and if it indicates
the battery is exhausted, recharge the battery
pack or replace it with a fresh one.
Set the filter selector on the camera to the sun
mark (
) for shooting in daylight. Set it to the
tungsten lamp mark (
) for shooting under ar¬
tificial light. "OUTDOORS" or "INDOORS" will
appear in the viewfinder accordingly.
