AKD-8: Shutter Actuation
AKD-8 LVS comes installed with shutter assemblies for protection of the live bus bars. Emax
2 Retrofill breaker comes pre-installed with shutter actuators (Figure 71,72,73 and 74) which
operate the opening of the shutters. Hence, no installation is required. Retrofills provide the
same mechanical indication scheme as legacy breakers.
