Troubleshooting
Symptom
The melody o1" heep sounds for five
seconds.
While charging tile hattery pack, no
indicator appears o1"tile indicator
flashes in the display window.
No function works thongh the
power is
on.
When you set tile POWER switch to
VCR o1"OFF (CHG), if yon move
yonr camcorder, yon may hear a
clatter sound fl'om inside your
can-lcordel'.
Cause and/or Corrective Actions
• Moisture condensation has occnrred.
") Remove tile cassette and leave your camcorder for at
least one hour to acclimatize. (p. 138)
• Some troubles has occurred in yonr camcocder.
") Remove the cassette and insert it again, then operate
yonr
camcorder.
• The AC power adaptor is disconnected.
+ Connect it firmly. (p. 14)
• The battery pack is not properly installed.
+ Install it properly.
• Something is wrong with the battery pack.
+ Contact your Sony dealer or local anthorized Sony
service facility.
• Disconnect the power cord of the AC power adaptor or
remove tile battery, then reconnect it in about one minute.
Tmn tile power on. If the flmctions still do not work, open
the LCD panel and press the RESET button beside the
SELFTIMER button using a sharp pointed object. (If you
press tile RESET bntton, all tile settings inelnding tile date
and time retnrn to the defanlt.) (p. 146)
