Before opening the boxes, make sure that no damage has been caused during
transport.
If damage has occurred, make a claim to the transport company and notify

bioMérieux .
When opening the boxes, make sure that all the items in the packing list have
been delivered.
If possible, keep packaging materials in case the VIDAS instrument has to be

moved in the future
Any damage directly or indirectly resulting from the transport of the
instrument without adequate containers will not be covered by the
warranty or maintenance contract.
The VIDAS weighs 65 kg (143 ⅓ lbs). Two people should lift it out of its
box and place it on the benchtop.
The instrument must be placed on a flat surface with a maximum
horizontality defect of 5°.
The VIDAS blue should be lifted or moved using the gripping area located
on its base.
