Changing the release agent

If the release agent has a deep black discolouration and high viscosity, replace it. Also change
or clean the filters in this case. The process filter can be cleaned or replaced, depending on its
degree of soiling. Always replace the oil filter.
Change the release agent as follows:
1. Switch off the central lubrication unit off at its local switch.
2. Undo the quick-release clamp and remove the reservoir from the central lubrication unit.
3. Drain the used release agent from the reservoir and clean the reservoir.
4. Remove and clean the process filter (for instructions, see "Maintenance of the process fil-
ter").
5. Remove and replace the oil filter (for instructions, see "Maintenance of the oil filter").
6. Fill the reservoir with fresh release agent.
7. Refit the reservoir to the central lubrication unit.
8. Refit the process filter in reservoir.
9. Remove the return line from the reservoir and place its end into a suitable collecting con-
tainer.
10. Switch on the central lubrication unit.
11. Purge the release agent circuit until only fresh, clean release agent escapes from the re-
turn line.
If the reservoir has run dry, switch the central lubrication unit off, remove the reservoir from
the central lubrication unit and refill it with fresh release agent. Then repeat steps 7 to 11.
12. Switch off the central lubrication unit at the Local switch of the assembly.
13. Connect the return line to the collecting container.
14. Fill the reservoir with fresh release agent.

Maintenance and Repair
There are two marks on the central lubri-
cation unit, which indicate the filling lev-
el limits (see illustration of the filling level
indicator). The filling level must be within
the two marks.
If the level falls below the lower level lim-
it, add release agent until the level is
within the two marks. Then refit the reser-
voir to the central lubrication unit.
