Dealing with an Alarm

To ensure that your network is running properly at all times, you must deal with
alarms promptly.

If you are still unable to clear an alarm, report the problem to your local Samsung
Electronics support desk (hereafter referred to as Samsung).

Log Collection Method

If any of the alarms remain active in LSM despite of taking all corrective actions,
you must collect the system log to analyze them thoroughly. The notification and
system logs are stored in the LSM and card. You can retrieve the logs for the date
of alarm declared or cleared from their default paths:

To deal with an alarm:
Read the alarm information in the LSM and/or look up the alarm in this
manual to identify its cause and remedy. If the alarm is related to another
alarm of higher severity, then identify the cause of this higher severity alarm.
Use the information to try to resolve the underlying problem and thus clear the
alarm.
For LSM:
o /log/msg/noti/
o /log/system/syslog
For card:
o /var/log/
o /pkg/BufferLogger/
