TV set
If your TV's antenna input is connected to a VCR
Disconnect the cable between the
converter between them as shown below.

Use the supplied RF converter and VHF connecting
cable.

Disconnect your antenna feed from the TV.
• If the antenna feed is flat ribbon cable, con­
nect it to the 300-ohm/75-ohm ad aptor, then
plug the adaptor to the RF converter 's IN
FROM ANT terminal.
• If the antenna feed is a coaxial cable with an
F-type connector, plug it directly into the RF
converter's I N FROM ANT socket.

Plug the VHF connecting cable into the
OUT TO TV socket on the RF converter and the
75-ohm coaxial antenna socket on the TV.

Plug the RF converter cable into the AUDIO,
VIDEO, and RF DC-OUT jacks on the camcorder.

Set the

Set the channel select switch to channel 3 or
channel 4 (whichever channel is not used in
your area). If both are used, select the least
watched.

Set the TV tuner to the same channel.

RF
Turn the camcorder's POWER switch to VCR.

Load a video cassette (cassette window facing
outward ), and then press the PLAY button.
• Use only the supplied RF converter with the
camcorder.
• The RF converter is a sealed unit. Do not attempt
to open or modify it. Do not damage, drop or sub­
ject the unit to vi bration.
• Unplug the RF converter during lightning storms.
• If your VHF antenna cable is a 300-ohm flat ribbon
feeder, screw the two lugs to the adaptor as
shown below.
• To resume normal TV operation, turn the POWER
switch to OFF on the camcorder, or unplug the RF
converter cable from the camcorder.
• The playback sound is monaural.
