• Before starting the car engine, the charger's plug must
be removed from the cigarette lighter socket.
• Before removing either the DC plug or the cigarette
lighter plug, the camcorder's POWER switch should be
turned OFF.

POWERING THE CAMCORDER

Insert the DC cable of the connecting plate
supplied with the AC Adaptor into the DC OUT
jack on the AC Adaptor.

Rotate the viewfinder upward.

Align the right side of the connecting plate with
the lines on the camcorder, press inward, and
slide it to the right as illustrated.

Insert the AC plug into a wall outlet. The
POWER lamp on the AC Adaptor will light.
The supplied AC Adaptor/Battery charger (UADP-0137
GEZZ) is specially designed for use with the VL-M6, and
should not be used as a power supply for other cam
corders.

Start the car engine and leave it idling while
using the SHARP Car Battery Adaptor/Battery
Charger VR-U40CH. Insert the plug into the
cigarette-lighter socket. The POWER indicator
will light.

Connect the DC cable of the supplied connect
ing plate to the DC out jack on the Car Battery

Adaptor/Battery Charger.

Rotate the viewfinder upward.

Align the right side of the connecting plate with
the lines on the camcorder, press the plate
inward, and slide it in to the right.

The battery pack can be recharged by using the car
battery adaptor/battery charger basically in the same
manner as the AC adaptor/battery charger. (See page 17
•Use in only DC 12V/24V negative ground system cars.
Positive-ground car batteries CANNOT BE USED. Check
your car operation manual or consult a local car dealer.
• Use the VR-U40CH only when the car is idling or when
the car is being driven. Otherwise, the car's battery will
be drained.
•CHARGE ONLY BA TIERY PACK MODEL BT-70 OR
BT-80. OTHER TYPES OF BATIERIES MAY BURST,
CAUSING PERSONAL INJURY AND DAMAGE.
