Field Replaceable Units: Disassembly Guidelines
A standard set of hand tools is required for disassembly and assembly.
Before you disassemble the docking station, you should ALWAYS remove
AC power.
When disassembling the docking station, observe the following
guidelines:
Provide appropriate electrostatic discharge protection and handle all
PCB assemblies by their edges to prevent damaging the PCB.
Note the positions of wires, cables, and different sized screws;
marking them if necessary to ensure they are replaced correctly.
Save and set aside all hardware for re-assembly.
After reassembling the docking station, ALWAYS complete ALL of the
checkout procedures, electrical safety tests, and regular maintenance
procedures identified and described in this service manual.
