Action
Turn on the power.
Connect the power cable correctly.
Use the Non-Contact Displacement Sensor
software to check the content of the error, and
take action accordingly.
A warning has occurred. Use the Non-Contact
Displacement Sensor software to check the
content of the warning, and take action
accordingly.
Mount the main unit in the correct direction to the
moving direction of the target measurement
object? (See 1-4-2)
Length cannot be measured if the measurement
distance adjustment tool is inserted. After
installation and adjustment are complete, remove
the measurement distance adjustment tool.
Place the target measurement object within the
measurement distance of the main unit.
Mount the main unit horizontally to the target
measurement object.
(An approximate guide is ±2°.) Alternatively, follow
2-3. Calibration to correct the length measurement
value.
Place the target measurement object within the
light receiving area.
* The measurement distance adjustment tool
makes it easier to place the object.
Remove dirt.
The optical window needs to be replaced. We will
fix it. Please contact our customer support.
Block ambient light.
- If the main unit vibrates independently of the
target measurement object, it detects a motion
other than that of the target measurement object,
and the error becomes large.
- If the target measurement object vibrates or
meanders, only the length measurement direction
is detected from the tracks of the target
measurement object, and the error becomes large.
If the target measurement object vibrates beyond
the tolerance of the measurement distance, the
error becomes large.
The equipment cannot be used stably if
condensation occurs.
Use the equipment within the specified
temperature range.
If there is a hole larger than the light receiving
area on the target measurement object, the length
cannot be measured due to the hole. (A warning is
output.)
- Install the equipment again so that the range to
be measured and the hole do not match.
Connect the USB cable and I/O cable correctly.
Input the length measurement start trigger
correctly.
See 2-2-2. Setting the trigger.
Check the wiring and connect the cables correctly.
If the target measurement object moves fast
(4,000 mm/s or faster) and the pulse resolution is
22
