4-4-1. Spot size and light receiving area

The spot size of light beam is about Φ30 mm.
The light receiving area is 4.8 X 0.2 mm

4-4-2. Handling the length measurement value depending on the position of the mounted main unit

If the position of the mounted main unit is tilted to the carrying direction of the target measurement object, a cosine
error occurs.
The following graph shows the relationship between the angle and the error.
An error generated by ±2° is about 0.06%. Mounting the main unit with ±2° as an approximate guide reduces the
impact of the cosine error.
Furthermore, it is recommended that you measure the already known length beforehand and correct the absolute
value. (See 2-3. Calibration)
