With the exception of the CMF/BUFFER board, the associated electronics package is called the
signal converter and is remotely mounted. Figure 1-1 shows the electronics housing used in conjunc-
tion with a remote signal converter.
The remote mounted signal converter is beneficial for:
1) high vibration areas
2) high process temperatures
The Signal Converter contains a magnet driver unit that is used to power the meter's magnet coils.
The steady state magnetic field principle, referred to as the MAG-X design concept, provides
optimum zero point stability at an optimized frequency which is a submultiple of the power line
frequency.
