3.9 What can I do if my phone generates excessive heat?

It is normal for smartphones to generate heat while you are charging your phone, playing
games, surfing the Internet, making calls, or using other power-intensive applications.
Issue 01 (2014-04-23)
Your phone may not detect the SIM card.
Make sure your SIM card is properly inserted. For details, see the Quick Start Guide that
comes with your phone.
Make sure your phone supports the SIM card mode. For details, contact your SIM card
vendor.
Make sure your SIM card works properly. Insert the card into another phone to check
whether the card works properly.
Your phone may have no reception.
Wait for a while or move your phone to a place with good reception.
Check whether the SIM card is properly placed in your phone.
Remove the rear cover away to check whether the SIM card is properly seated in the
SIM card slot. If not, remove the battery, and then install the SIM card properly.
Check whether airplane mode is on.
If airplane mode is on, an airplane icon will be shown in the status bar in the upper right
corner of your phone. Press and hold the power button, and touch Airplane mode to
toggle it off.
Restart the phone and check again.
Press and hold the power button, and choose Restart from the displayed option menu.
Check again whether network service is available this time after your phone is powered
back on.
Make sure the network service is good on the spot. If not, move your phone to another
place and check again.
Do not surf the Internet, play games, watch videos, or use other power-intensive
applications while your phone is charging. Charge your phone in a cool and dry place.
While you are playing games, close applications not in use. This is because when you
play games, the CPU workload is heavy, which leads to excessive heat.
Use the mobile network in places with good reception. Do not run too many
applications simultaneously to avoid abrupt increases of data traffic and heat generated
by your phone.
