4.4 Scaling up
When scaling up to the full scale process, there are several practical issues to consider
such as pressure limitations of related large scale equipment and the special aspects of
liquid handling and process control at high volumetric flow rates.
Linear flow rates and the number of column volumes used during method development
should generally be the same as those to be used during the envisaged full scale
process.
