Q : When I'm using my Galaxy S4 , I often feel my device is hot to the touch. Is my device faulty?
A : Your device is not faulty.
The main CPU (Central Processor Unit > Hardware chipset) of your Galaxy S4 operates at high speed to run applications
efficiently and also to provide more advanced feature's according to usage situations. During these activities it may get
warmer but this is common in smart phones.
Heating is commonly seen not just on Samsung devices, but many other manufacturers devices during their usage .
For example, you also experience a heating effect when using a PC.
Additionally, while using the device in an environment where ambient temperature is higher, you may feel that device
is getting hotter than usual as a result of influence of ambient temperature. But this a general phenomenon of all
electronic devices.
Samsung provide the periodic S/W upgrade to optimize the software features in order to provide added value for Galaxy S4
owners throughout the device's whole lifespan. You can conveniently upgrade the improved S/W binary via Kies tool or FOTA
to further optimized the device.

All of Samsung's mobile devices observe the International Safety Specification.
Galaxy S4 also acquires International Safety Specification Approval and its products are supplied worldwide.
However Samsung is continually seeking ways to further optimize the software features for best user experience.
