Preparing the Machine

Procedure
1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower the cutting
unit, stop the engine, engage the parking brake and
remove the key from the ignition switch.
2. Disconnect the negative (–) battery cable from the
battery.
WARNING
Gases from the battery can be explosive.
Wear safety goggles and rubber gloves when
working with the battery. Keep open flames
and electrical sparks away from the battery.
Do not smoke.
