Defining the direction of rotation
Direction of rotation
If the stator segments of the segment motor are connected with a U-V-W phase sequence
and a three-phase system with clockwise rotating field is connected, then the segment motor
rotor rotates clockwise. You can identify the direction of rotation by looking at the A end of
the segment motor. The opposite B end is the cable outlet side of the segment motor.
