Possible cause
Control system setting
Overload
Overspeed
Network unbalance
Faulty instrumentation or measurement system
Too many starts
Winding fault
Dirty machine exterior
Air flow is reduced
NOTE: For high bearing temperature, see Chapter 8.1.2 Lubrication system and bearings.
Corrective action
Check machine controls, eliminate overload
Check actual speed and ABB speed recommendations
Check that network balance fulfils requirements
Check measurements, sensors and wiring
Let the machine cool down before restarting
Check windings
Clean machine exterior
Remove obstacles. Ensure sufficient air flow, see Dimension
