6. Loosen the nut securing the hydraulic line to the
90-degree fitting at front of the hydraulic filter head
(Figure 2).

7. Unplug the wire harness connector from the hour
meter terminals (Figure 2).
8. Remove the 2 sets of screws, washers and spacers
securing hydraulic filter head to underside of the
control panel (Figure 2).
Note: Retain the screws, washers and the spacer for
re-assembly.
9. Remove the screw securing the fuse bracket to the
control panel. Move the bracket out of the way.
Note: Retain the screw for re-assembly.
10. Remove the 4 screws securing the control panel to the
traction unit frame.
11. Move the filter head forward allowing the removal of
the hose and clamp from the straight fitting on the
filter head (Figure 2).
Note: Discard the fitting and clamp.
12. On the other end of the hose, remove the clamp and
the straight fitting from the hydraulic reservoir (Figure
3).
Note: Retain the clamp but discard the hose and
fitting.

13. Install the 90-degree fitting with the O-ring into rear of
filter head (Figure 4).
Note: Position the fitting so it points straight down.
Note: Make sure that the o-rings are in place when
installing the fittings.
1. 90-degree fitting
14. The following steps only need to be performed on
traction units with a serial number in the range of
220000001 through 220999999.
Note: Proceed to step 15 if the serial number is not
in this range.
•
Remove the 3 sets of screws, washers and spacers
securing the hydraulic reservoir to the traction unit
frame. Slide the reservoir rearward.
•
The fuel tank mounting screws may have to be
loosened to slide the reservoir rearward.
•
To gain additional clearance when installing the
fitting into reservoir, lift front of the reservoir.
