Connecting the Negative
Battery Cable

Procedure

Battery posts, terminals, and related
accessories contain lead and lead compounds,
chemicals known to the State of California
to cause cancer and reproductive harm.
Wash hands after handling.
1. Remove the plastic cap from the negative battery
terminal.
2. Connect the negative battery cable to the negative (-)
battery post using the bolt and nut attached to the
cable (Figure 6).
