17.00 Automatic Number Identification (ANI)
Description
Programming
Provides the called party with the presentation of caller's phone number.
With the ANI service, an extension user can find out who's calling before deciding
to answer a call.
One of the following three presentation ways of caller's phone number can be
utilized depending on the system programming.
1. Incoming CO calls only
Provides the display PITS user with the presentation of calling outside party's
phone number.
2. Outgoing CO calls only
Provides the outside party with the presentation of caller's extension number.
3. Both Incoming and Outgoing CO calls
A combination of above mentioned two ways.
