9. Slowly pour electrolyte into each cell until the level is
once again up to the upper line on the battery case
(Fig. 4) and install the covers.
10. Install the battery into the chassis (Fig. 3).
11. Secure the battery with the bar and wing nuts removed
previously (Fig. 3).
12. Using the bolt and wing nut supplied with the battery,
connect the positive (red) cable to the positive (+)
battery post (Fig. 3). Slide the rubber cover over the
battery post.
13. Using the bolt and wing nut supplied with the battery,
connect the negative (black) cable to the negative (–)
battery post (Fig. 3).
Note: Ensure that the battery cables do not contact any
sharp edges or each other.
14. Install the hood; refer to Installing the Hood, page 21.
