The firmware update process will take 3-5 minutes and you will be greeted by a dialog box informing you
when the firmware update has completed. If you have any
problems updating the firmware, please contact our free 24x7
Technical Support.
Configuration of LinkStation
Login to your LinkStation's Web Based Configuration. This is
typically done by typing http://NAME-OF-LINKSTATION into your
web browser (where NAME-OF-LINKSTATION is the name you
gave LinkStation during setup). A login prompt will appear
asking you for user credentials to login to your LinkStation. If
your LinkStation cannot be found, please consult the
documentation that came with LinkStation or contact our free
24x7 Technical Support.
Once logged into the main configuration page, press on the
'LinkTheater Settings' option on the bottom of the main page.

Once you have reached the LinkTheater Settings page you will be required to setup the following options:
Media Server Function: Enable or Disable the ability for LinkTheater to playback files stored on
this LinkStation.
Media Folder: Select the share or folder from the pull down menu that will be shared from this LinkStation
to your LinkTheater(s). Only one folder or share can be selected on a LinkStation. Please select a folder that
contains all of the files and subfolders you desire LinkStation to share with LinkTheater.
Media Folder Password: If enabled, you will be required to enter a password before files can be streamed
from this LinkStation to LinkTheater. If this setting is enabled, then you will be required to enter a password
twice into the next two fields.
Once you have finished making changes, press the 'Apply' button to store the new settings on LinkStation.
You may now close the Web Browser used for configuring the LinkStation.
The LinkStation supports UPnP, therefore, the next time you start LinkTheater this LinkStation will
automatically appear on the Log In screen ready for you to stream multimedia files from. Pressing the
'REFRESH' button on the remote control from the Log In page will show the LinkStation without
restarting LinkTheater.
