Specify a 4 to 32 character pass key and select the Generate button. The pass key can be
any alphanumeric string. The access point, other proprietary routers, and Motorola
Solutions clients use the algorithm to convert an ASCII string to the same hexadecimal
number. Clients without Motorola Solutions adapters need to use WEP keys manually
configured as hexadecimal numbers.
Use the Key #1-4 areas to specify key numbers. For WEP 128 (104-bit key), the keys are 26
hexadecimal characters in length. Select one of these keys for default activation by
selecting its radio button. Select Show to display the actual characters comprising the key.
If you feel it necessary to restore the WEP algorithm back to its default settings, select the
Restore Default WEP Keys button.
